Pill Box is an old Allen & Hanbury's pharmaceutical factory in Bethnal Green that's been redeveloped into office space for a whole range of exciting startups and creative businesses. Our team was asked to design and install a video receptionist to look after their customers by Workspace Group, who own and manage the building.

The companies based at Pill Box range from fledgling tech companies and hands-on craft workshops to more traditional firms like accountants and architects. All these companies, however, chose Pill Box for its design and atmosphere – its east London location plus the flexible and attentive service Workspace aims to provide.

The Vgreet has been a great success according to the Pill Box centre manager, Lucia Aneglovicova:

"Vgreet has been everyone’s best friend, helping our customers get to know each other. It’s an amazing tool which helps visitors find anyone within the building when I’m not on duty. Its design complements that space perfectly. It looks so engaging and professional."

The process of installing the bespoke Vgreet was simple. After consultation with the Pill Box team and the businesses based there, a Vgreet was specially designed for the space. The main section, with video functionality, has been used to showcase marketing material and a set of fascinating film profiles featuring some of the resident businesses. Below the main video sections, there are twelve buttons which link to the centre directory, a news journal, an events section and more.

At the touch of a button, Pill Box workers can also find out about transport links, the best local restaurant and bars, or more about the variety of companies based in the business centre. There’s also a live Twitter feed so customers and visitors have access to the latest news and information.

Although the building does have the centre manager, Lucia, the Vgreet provides visitors at all times, regardless of business hours, with information about the building, its inhabitants, its location and its services. The Vgreet has been branded with Pill Box colours and the space's logo, to fit seamlessly into the environment while offering a valuable new service.
