Vpod was delighted to be asked to speak at front-of-house services management company Acuity’s recent event, Corporate Lobby and the Power of a First Impression.
Held at prestigious members’ venue Home House in London’s Portman Square, the event offered a chance for customers to hear directly about current trends in visitor management.
Speakers Oliver Heath FRSA from Oliver Heath Design and Vpod’s own Sam Farrant, talked about Biophilic Design and Phygital respectively, subjects that are key being innovative in front of house environments.
“Phygital is a ‘buzzword’ that a lot of people are hearing, but maybe don’t understand its potential” says Farrant.
“Blending physical assets such as people and properties, with digital facilities such as automation and interactive information, can significantly improve visitor experiences. Streamlining routine tasks such as check-in and way-finding can free up staff to help with more complex enquiries. At Vpod, we’re never looking to replace people, merely help companies decide what mix of assets suits them best.
"Events such as this one organised by Acuity are a great way to do a little myth-busting and start people thinking about what type of customer journey would work best for their business".
Chiara Di Rienzo, Director of Acuity, says it is important for Acuity and the industry as a whole to help further professionalism within the industry: “This meeting will give attendees a great opportunity to network with both front-of-house professionals and facilities managers, as well as discovering some of the newest insights and most interesting developments in the sector from our guest presenters.”
